Libby's Scribe notes from Thursday 10-20

Dear Angie,

Kayla Swanson is so mean to me.  Today in our period 4 ACC English class she laughed at me because I had to be the scribe.  The scribes from previous days, Will and Kate, started class by telling us what they wrote.  Mrs. Gill’s phone went off in class.  It was really funny.  Kayla wants to get Mrs. Gill’s phone number from Paul so she can call her during class.  As you may have noticed, Kayla’s kind of a trouble maker.  When Will and Kate finished reading their scribe notes we started our journal.  The prompt was called “Gear.”   Mrs. Gill put a picture of a soldier in a pretty field on the board and we had to write about what we saw.  She played “Hero” by Skillet while we wrote for a few minutes.  It was kind of a depressing prompt. L.  Once we all finished Joe and Tyler offered to read their journals.  Joe always has interesting ones.  Today he wrote about a lone soldier who had electric guitars thrown at him by gophers.  Ya I don’t know either..  Tyler took a more realistic approach to the prompt.  He wrote about the soldier and his comrades in the field.   Then Mrs. Gill handed out a synthesis essay rubric and one of the essays from another class.  She attempted to mark the name off the essay but failed.  The essay belongs to Jeffery…he’s a ginger.   Anyway, we had to read his essay and then grade it based on the rubric.  Well tell your husband (hes a cubs fan) I say hey and that this is what the cardinals have won 10 world series and the cubs have won how many….oh that’s right only two and that was like one hundred years ago.

                LOVE your favorite sister,

                Libby
