Scribe Notes 10-11-11

English class was rather mundane and subdued today. After returning from a three day weekend, most people seemed lifeless and tired for the first class of the morning. Class began with prayer over the announcements. We then moved on to Katrina’s scribe notes, which were in the form of a game of Jeopardy. Throughout this game, several of the students expressed their anger about Mr. Grasser and his physics test. We got an insightful look into Mrs. Gill’s personal life shortly afterward when she informed us of her infatuation with the actors who portrayed Proctor and Hale in The Crucible movie. She enlightened us even further when she told us that she found a website where we can chat with a librarian anytime, 24/7. I know what I’m going to be doing this Saturday night. We moved on to our first journal in quite some time, and today’s theme was “Picture the Music”. Our task was to describe a piece of music using a sense other than hearing. After listening to an anonymous piece of piano music, Zack described it as being “light and fluffy”, while Kohlberg elected to use a PBJ and described his weekend experience of losing to Ritter and going to a rodeo. We were then given a test review sheet for the Crucible chock full of fun quotes and questions. At 8:39, Jeffrey smiled. We continued work on these questions until the conclusion of class.
We have no homework, but we review in class tomorrow for our Crucible test on Thursday.--Michael Klein
