Chris Primo’s Magnificent Scribe Notes for ACC English Period 4

·         Before the bell rang, Mrs. Gill told us a story about how her many fish in her tank died, for which she blames Petco.

·         To start the class, we said our daily prayers, a “Hail Mary” and a “Glory Be”.

·         Maddie read her scribe notes, in which she calls Mrs. Gill Mr. Gill, since her “s” key wasn’t working.

·         Mrs. Gill showed us a word cloud of Kristen Scego’s scribe notes, and she showed us a recommended way to make one by using wordle.net and the snipping tool.

·         Mrs. Gill is picking up our journals next Tuesday, so be sure that those entries are long enough!

·         Today’s journal prompt: “After being struck by lightning, I wound up with the lamest superpower ever…”

·         Joe wrote about how he gained the superpower to conduct lightning, and called himself “The Lightning Rod”, but he kept getting struck by lightning because of this power that he obtained. But he was able to barbeque his food without the need for a barbeque pit.

·         Frankie wrote about how he gained the power to shrink things and turn them red.

·         Will wrote about how he gained the power of having a seven foot long tongue, and how he tripped over his tongue while trying to stop a robbery in a post office, and ended up with stamps all over his tongue.

·         Kristen wrote about how she gained the power of turning into a mermaid, and back into a human with the snap of her finger.

·         Libby wrote about how she gained the power of turning into a firefly.

·         Emily Melz wrote about how she gained the power of telling time without needing a clock, so she could show up everywhere on time.

·         Marc wrote about how he gained the power to squirt ketchup through his belly button, which is quite useful for hot dogs.

·         I wrote about how I gained the awesome power of turning into a chicken, but a damsel in distress mistook me for dinner.

·         Attention anyone reading this, we have been assigned another paper!  Each student needs to write a one to two page paper (Four hundred to five hundred words) personifying on the value that Mrs. Gill assigned the group that they were in.  While working on this paper, each group will work together on a project on the value that they were assigned.  The project should have a picture of the value, a definition poster of the value, and a multimedia presentation (Tumblr, Powerpoint, Movie Maker, or Sophie are all okay) of the value.  Each group will conduct a presentation on their project.
