Matthew Parasch's 11-2 period 2 scribe notes

Today in class we started as usual with a prayer and then brought up the beautiful picture of our class on Edline and noticed that that one girl left (Madeline).  Different ideas were heard throughout the classroom.  I believe I heard Gina say we should take a new picture, many agreed, and Nick yelled “[Forget] her!”.  Ignoring Nick’s comment Mrs. Gill went on to compliment the new girl and all the girls at Kennedy on how beautiful they are.   Zach then asked what she thought about the boys at Kennedy and Mrs. Gill had no comment.  Zach and I agreed that we think the boys are much prettier than the girls…

Annie then read her scribe notes from a couple days ago and we began to journal with the prompt: On the Scaffold.  Right before journaling Gina released a monster sneeze that scared everyone.  We journal to a soundtrack from a movie that sounded like a Disney title and Zach happened to realize the song was from the movie instantly.  I was convinced that Zach had a hidden love for child movies after making that comment.  Jeffrey then reads his journal which explains that the media is the modern version of the scaffold.  Blake was supposed to read but made up the excuse that he did a PB&J (which I don’t believe is true) so he didn’t have to read today but promised Mrs. Gill that he would read his journal the next day.

After journaling, each row went up to the front of the room to get saint quotes, textbooks, and candy.  When Zach reached into the envelope to pick his quote he had the great idea to convince Mrs. Gill that he wasn’t Catholic and his religion only allows him to do short saint quotes, but Mrs. Gill was too quick for Zach and didn’t fall for it.  Kudos for effort.  The class then realized that today’s advisory would be replaced with a prayer service which ruined many people’s plans to do their Math and Spanish during advisory.

Zach then told Mrs. Gill about a band he found called “Hester Prynne” so we took a gander at one of the songs.  It was screamo music and Mrs. Gill did a sidesplitting impression of it.  We all begged Mrs. Gill to do it one more time and she did…J

HW:  Be prepared for the summary assessment tomorrow (focus on Hester) and be ready for annotation check.
