English class period two
So much fun for me and you
Now it’s time to pray
Just like every other day
Who’s the scribe supposed to be?
Ohhh, apparently it’s me
Nick says not to write anything about him
Oooops, I guess that didn’t happen
We now watch a short film starring kids like me and you
It’s about how much required reading they really do
Next comes the journal accompanied by Eminem
Mrs. Gill admits she has an “English Teachers Crush” on him
“How we approach reading in high school” is the topic for today
When we are finish Mrs. Gill calls Michael and Kelly to read, Hooray
Michael says he doesn’t like school reading but enjoys finishing that last page
Except that is in the case of the book “The Bridge of San Luis Rey”
Then Joseph says something that makes me wonder about his health
That after reading that book he wanted to shoot himself
Kelly says she reads the summary before beginning
And thinks that students would enjoy having a say in their reading
Moving on, Mrs. Gill explains our newest assignment to finish fast
For Friday we must turn in our completed podcast
We were given a worksheet and told to begin
After that this is sadly where we end.
