Marc St. Amour Scribe Note II

Day 30 of captivity

It’s hard to even imagine that I have survived this long.  By “survive” I mean keeping mental sanity.  So many others have fallen due to the stress, pressure, and anxiety that accentuates from this environment.

Today’s uniform was a bit relaxed.  We simply had to wear blue.  The younger captives had to wear white and red.  The elder captives had to wear black.

Moving on from earlier sessions, it was time to go to the linguistics session, the major source of the stress.  Today’s session took place directly after our worship of the Spirit in the Sky.  We proceeded to worship further.  The leader had informed us that there was a sign-up for the scribe duties.  Mostly people chose their duties to be later in time.  I intentionally chose to do it on the shorter day because I’m like that.

We started to journal about an encounter between the fictional characters Abigail Williams and Elizabeth Proctor as we listened to Carrie Underwood’s “Before He Cheats”.  I chose to PBJ today and wrote about modern art.  As we read more of the journal entries from the various captives, Abby got horribly offended that her name was being defiled by the fictional Abby.

The captive, Kate, had to read her recollection of the day from 2 days ago.  Abby was excited that she was mentioned… again.  Coming back to the scribe duty schedule, we had a brief discussion about procrastination.  And with that we started to read from The Crucible.  Maddie nonchalantly read about our worship of Hell and Lucifer.  Libby got offended when Max accidentally read her line.  And the Leader doesn’t know what Tetris is.

Finally, the Supreme Overlord interrupted the session and the session ended.
